Founded in 1950 as the St Albans Operatic Society, our company has been lighting up the local stage for over 75 years. We've grown from a small operatic group into a dynamic musical theatre company, bringing a wide range of productions to life - from classic musicals to contemporary favourites.

We put on at least two major musical productions each year, and there are loads of ways to take part! Whether you love the spotlight or prefer working behind the scenes, we welcome everyone.
Performing Members
Annual membership: £60
One show membership: £35
Student membership: £30
Performing members are also encouraged to pay a show donation for each show they are cast in. The donation may vary according to the requirements for each show, but is normally about £80 – £100
Non-Performing Members
Annual membership: £15
The Company welcomes the support of non-performing members, especially with behind the scenes activities, publicity and social events. Non-performing members are not eligible to audition for shows.
All Members are invited to attend the Company Annual General Meeting and all social events. They also receive the Company Newsletter. Performing Members aged 18 and over are eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting and to stand for election to the Committee.

Cabaret Group
Our Cabaret Group is a fun and flexible way to keep performing throughout the year outside of our main shows. Made up of talented local singers, the group puts on intimate performances at charity events, private functions, and community gatherings.
It’s perfect for those who love to perform but may not have time for a full production. Sets are tailored to each audience, with 30- or 60-minute options, performed at your chosen venue - all in return for a donation to our registered charity.
